February Half Term Fun (13 – 17 February)
Have some fun this half term and learn something new
We’re going on a lion hunt!
Get your friends and family together and take part in the ever popular Lion Hunt trail around the museum to find the big cats hiding amongst the exhibits. Complete the trail and claim your certificate plus a prize is up for grabs at the end of the week for whoever finds the most lions.
Craft Activities – Monday 13 – Friday 17 February
Get creative and learn more about the horses, troopers and history of The Household Cavalry Regiment while you enjoy making something special to take home with you. There’s a whole host of fun stuff to make and in the run up to the Royal and sporting events taking place this year some of the sessions will have an Olympic and Queen’s Jubilee theme. Suitable for ages 5-10 years.
The craft sessions take place each morning at 11.30am and last approximately 45 minutes.
Pre booked children are free with a full paying adult, although a small charge will be made to cover the cost of materials. Booking is recommended as places are limited.
Story time – Tuesday 14 February
Come along and hear the true life Cinderella story of Cicero the Household Cavalry drum horse who was originally spotted by Queen Elizabeth II pulling a milk float on the streets of Edinburgh.
Suitable for 3-7 year olds. Starts at 2.15pm for approx 45 minutes.
